DELTARUNE (Chapter 3) [2025]

Played June 2025

Thoughts... [contains spoilers]

Since writing this at the end of June 2025, it's funny that both Chapter 3 and 4 took me an entire month while I breezed through Chapters 1 and 2 in a night, haha. BUT OH MY GOODNESS it feels surreal that these chapters are out. It feels surreal to see the story develop over time and I'm very terrified for this cast of silly characters.

Coming home from work to chill and then play games well past the time I need to sleep (despite having a day off) is a memory that I'll have a for a very long time. Chapter 3 was so so much fun! I loved the minigames (I'm very bad at the rhythm one but it was a ton of fun), I loved the adventure boards, and the hilarious romantic comedy with Lanino, Elinina and Rouxls. Someone throw this man (Rouxls) into a trash can.

The Wario Ware-esque battle with Tenna was a neat idea too aND I WASN'T EXPECTING TO FIGHT THE KNIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER??? HELLO!!!! I was not prepared and promptly got my ass kicked lmao.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time [2025]

Thoughts... [contains spoilers]

Since playing through the main story of Sea of Stars in November 2024, I've been enamored with the characters, the world, and the overarching plot that's told through SoS, The Messenger, and the ARG-- so it's no secret that I've been looking forward to this DLC and what answers we could get along with new questions!

While one of my minor complaints from the main story is that the main characters Zale and Valere felt a little flat (understandably from a storytelling standpoint, but also...I was craving to see a hint of depth in the duo you play as sdkfslfns), I'm so happy to say that ToTW gave me what I was hoping for!!!

I can't tell you how satisfying it was to see Zale become haunted by his twin, while Valere threw hands with hers and fought one on one with her!!! UGH that was so good!! The girlies are FIGHTING!!!!!

I thought the wheels boss against the Puppeteer was fun (and I'm glad I learned how wheels worked beforehand LMFAO) along with her expressions. The puzzles were creative and fun too! I do think there were a little too many in the Ivory Towers, though- might be me though!

With the reveal of two ovates in the DLC along with Garl revealing that he wrote the original message (my jaw DROPPED), it makes me wonder what's next for the story when Project Sparrow comes around- just gotta wait and see for now! I'm hooked so I've be keeping my eyes on any news that pops up. My theory is that it'll take place after SoS, but still very, very long before The Messenger.

Also I love, love Arty!!!! Easily my favourite character next to Resh'an.

Chrono Trigger [1995]

Started May 2025

Final Fantasy: Mysic Quest [1992-93]

Started April 2025

Thoughts so far...

I started this one out of curiosity, after hearing its banger soundtrack. I've read that this rpg was essentially "baby's first rpg", and...yeah, they're right! Nothing special about the story so far, but the soundtrack is really, really good!

I like that if you die during a battle or boss battle, the game asks if you want to restart and you continue from the start of the fight!

Grandia [1997]

Started January 2025

Thoughts so far...

I really, really like the style of this game (despite throwing me for a loop when I first picked it up), but I find myself getting my ass kicked in every battle lol. I'm either very underleveled or I need to start again from an older save haha.

Started April/May 2024

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet: The Teal Mask/Indigo Disk [2023]

Played January-February 2024 / Finished September 2024

Thoughts...

My thoughts about the DLC are a little scattered since I finished it a few days ago as of writing (Feb 11 2024) but I will say that Kieran is a well written character. the fact that he'll target ogerpon if you send her out during his champion battle. the fact that he caught terapagos in a master ball the moment it was released and forced it battle because he was so desperate to defeat you. the fact that terapagos was out for blood after destroying the master ball kieran caught it in had me screaming thinking i was gonna see a character death in a pokemon game. the music.

Thoughts...

Oh my GOD this game and its story had me in choke hold for a good couple months! Like I haven't been that ingrained into a game's story since I played Legends Arceus back in 2022. This game really got me interested! I'd play a little bit and then just write down all of my theories in my journal, just pages and pages of theories as I tried to figure out what was going on, but I would have never expected the twist at the end.

The fact that the planet you're trying to save has already been destroyed by the ultravoid, and while you think it's your first time around, you're actually trapped in this seemingly endless timeloop of grief that has you repeating your actions until you finally come to terms with your home planet being gone for good.

holy shit. this game had me in a LOOP (no pun intended lol)
