Whew what a month. What a month it's been. Wow.
A lot of things were happening this month. Trying to transition to being more independent. Trying to get the webshop open. Toonnnssss of other Personal things in between I shan't mention online. I'm starting to feel the fatigue! A majority of it is going at a snail's pace and making little or no progress at all, hahaaa. Honesstly I'm looking forward to the day I finish it all. Adulting is hard but I stay silly.
I mentioned in my secret blog that I was so inspired by the artists I saw at SacAnime Summer (which I'm working on a blog post for- for this year and last year too!!) that it motivated me to gtet my webshop back up and running and to table at an event in the future!! It was something I dreamed of doing since I learned about cons during my early days online, so with the means to do so I wanna work towards it.
Right now with the webshop it's a bit of a waiting game. I have (almost!!!!!) everything accounted for when it comes to packaging-- mailers, envelopes, stamps for envelopes, backing boards for prints...the usual stuff! I've finished cutting the stickers I wanted to sell and I mayyyy want to put in a print order for a handful of SQ related prints + a thank you card!! I'm also waiting on business cards + promo bookmarks which I'm eager to see. Clip Studio's CMYK conversion is kinda hit or miss so I hope they came out decent...!!
In California at least (idk about other usian states), there's like a handful of documentation you need to do if you wanna sell your merch, so I'm basically in the middle of that. It's also been a bit of a learning experience haha. I've also learned that I need to acquire a new postal scale since the battery of my old one began to leak therefore ruining it... >>;; oops. Also in the middle of trying to get one too.
For where the webshop will be, it'll be hosted on my Ko-Fi shop for the time being, so watch this space!! As for merch I'll be selling my older merch, so prints and pinback buttons! New merch will be SQ prints, handmade stickers, charms, and hopefully handmade sketchbook zines in the future too!! ^^ Also, here's a handful of what'll be in the shop!
The Kirby and Marx pins are leftover from my old shop and the stickers are new! The older merch will be retired once it sells, so if it strikes your fancy, grab it while you can!!!!! If this all goes well I have a list of merch ideas I'd love to dig into!
LOL this was meant to be a blog about how September kinda drained me, but it turned into me being excited about my webshop and talking about that instead haha. I really am excited!! Stay tuned for its eventual opening!
