Goddam my last blog post was in October!

Aside from my couple newsletter posts, it's been quiet around here in the blog corner. Any sort of thoughts I have that linger in my head get put into my own private journal, so I guess I didn't have much to say here haha!

But I did wanna talk about how this year was for me and my plans for next year, art and site wise!

I don't quite remember what my goals were for 2023, so I had to search back to my first blog post this year to find what they were. I was only able to find one, and that was to finish the script for Star Quest. That was something I didn't quite achieve as the script is still a WIP after Chapter 3. But what I can say is that I didn't expect to start working on the comic when I did back in July. My plan was to finish Caltonia and move onto Star Quest, buuuuut I ended up dropping Caltonia halfway through the second chapter and started concept art for Star Quest.

So I can say that I did acheieve my goal for Star Quest, and more too!

Aside from SQ, this year has been...simply okay!! Nothing too interesting happened in my life, just working day jobs on and off for the most part. Trying to stay afloat, trying to save, etc etc, nothing I wanna go too much into detail and would rather keep private lol.

So... plans for next year! Some of my goals and resolutions for 2024 are...

Finish chapters 2 and 3 of Star Quest. I like to keep my resolutions as realistic and stress free as possible, so I think this is something that I can manage, now that I'm about a third of the way through SQ chapter 2! I also wanna finish the script through chapter 5 as well.

Learn how to grow fruits and vegetables! These past couple weeks I've been learning how to grow and care for different types of plants and its got me pUMPED. You mean I can just grow spinach, cucumbers, and strawberries in the backyard???? Just like that???? hello???? I am taking NOTES and putting them to use! I'd also like to blog about my experiences with this too!

At least complete a single storyboard. I know I made some attempts with this early last year, but now I have this newfound confidence after thumbing various pages for Star Quest. Now I just need to figure my way around Storyboard Pro, haha

Stop Scrolling!!!! yeah. I don't want to go into 2024 with this on my mind.

And that's what I have for resolutions! I'm feeling pretty good about 2024, so I wanna make it a good one!

As far as site plans go, I wanna flesh out the OC corner. It'll always stay a WIP, but there's a ton of pages that a blank or don't even have pages linked to them, so I wanna focus on that going into 2024. Plus I have a handful of OCs that I've been meaning to add there too!

I wanna create a new splash page for the site. My current one has the old design of my sona and it's getting close to 3 years old at this point haha. I have some vague ideas for an animated splash page with my new sona!
